I don't know if people actually read these blogs on this website, but I am HUGE River Kings fan! Unfortunately, none of my friends are into hockey or know anything about the game. If you're like most people I've encountered, you're probably wondering how a GIRL from ARKANSAS came to like....hockey?!. I understand your surprise, but that's another story. However, it's somewhat a lonely feeling when you live in an area where the sport is virtually non-existent (no rinks, nowhere to get hockey equipment, no fans, no nothing). Yes, I'm aware that I need to move to hockey country, namely Canada (or hey, Southaven would suffice) where my love for the game would be appreciated. But in the meantime, it would be great to establish contact with other hockey fans, especially fans of the River Kings. Even though I live 2 hours away, I attend as many of their games as I can and I also follow the NHL. I can't wait 'til the season starts. Hockey withdrawal is a terrible thing. ha! I've got tickets to the home opener game and I'm excited about next season. Hopefully the boys will be in the hunt for another championship!
